Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connectors X2, X3, and X4 from the BCM.
  2. Test for less than 1.0 ohm between the ground circuits X3 terminal 1 and X3 terminal 5 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified value, repair the ground circuit.
  3. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the following B+ circuits of the BCM and ground.
    • X2 terminal 2
    • X3 terminals 2 and 3
    • X4 terminals 1, 2, 3, 4, and 10
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  4. If all circuits test normal, replace the BCM.
