Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution .
  1. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
  2. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .

  4. Disconnect the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) steering wheel module coil electrical connectors.
  5. Remove the SIR steering wheel module coil (2) from the steering column (1).
  6. If replacing, discard the SIR steering wheel module coil.
