Circuit/System Verification

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 Cadillac CTS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. DTC B153F should not be set as history.
    • If DTC B153F is set only as history, replace both B71 liftgate object sensors
  2. Ignition ON, observe the scan tool LGM Secondary Obstacle Detection parameter. The reading should be between 3V-3.5V.
  3. Observe the scan tool LGM Secondary Obstacle Detection parameter while pressing and releasing the B71R liftgate object sensor - right. The reading should change from 3V-3.5V to 2.25-2.75V as the sensor is pressed and released.
    • If the value does not change, test or replace the B71R liftgate object sensor - right.
  4. Observe the scan tool LGM Secondary Obstacle Detection parameter while pressing and releasing the B71L liftgate object sensor - left. The reading should change from 3V-3.5V to 2.25-2.75V as the sensor is pressed and released.
    • If the value does not change, test or replace the B71L liftgate object sensor - left.
