Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Cadillac CTS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    NOTE: To prevent equipment damage, never connect or disconnect the wiring harness connection from the EBCM with the ignition switch in the ON position.
  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Fig 1: Removing & Installing Brake Pressure Modulator Valve

  3. Remove the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) from the frame. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement (CTS)  or Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement (CTS-V) .
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  5. Remove the 4 BPMV bracket to frame mounting bolts (2).
  6. Remove the BPMV mounting bracket (1) from the frame.
