Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM (STATIC FILL) or DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM (VAC N FILL) .
  2. Slide the electrical connector heat shield up the wiring harness.
  3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (8) from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor (9).

  4. Remove the ECT sensor.
