Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Saturn Outlook, 2008 GMC Acadia, and 2008 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector X1 at the ECM.
  2. While applying the brake pedal, test for 11.5-12.2 volts between the signal circuit terminal 7 and ground.
    • If less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
  3. If all circuits test normal, replace the ECM.
