Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  1. Position the generator to the engine block.
  2. Install the generator bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  4. Install the engine harness terminal (4) to the generator stud.
  5. Install the engine harness terminal lead to generator nut (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  6. Position the rubber boot (3) over the stud.
  7. Connect the generator electrical connector (1).
  8. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  9. Install the radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LE5) .
  10. Install the air cleaner resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
  11. Connect negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
