Schematic Reference: Power Window Schematics DEFINITION: This diagnostic procedure should be used to diagnosis a total failure of the power window system.
1	Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?	Go to Step 2	Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information
2	Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. Operate both the driver and passenger power windows from both the passenger window switch and the master window switch. Do both power windows operate properly from all of the switches?	Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems	Go to Step 3
3	Does either power window operate from any switch?	Go to Power Window Inoperative - Driver Door orPower Window Inoperative - Passenger Door	Go to Step 4
4	Disconnect the power window master switch. Turn the ignition ON, with the engine OFF. Connect a test lamp between retained accessory power (RAP) supply voltage circuit at the master switch harness connector and a good ground. Does the test lamp illuminate?	Go to Step 5	Go to Step 7
5	Connect a test lamp between the master switch ground circuit and B+ at the master switch harness connector. Does the test lamp illuminate?	Go to Step 6	Go to Step 8
6	Inspect for poor connections at the power window master switch harness connector. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	Go to Step 10	Go to Step 9
7	Repair the open in RAP supply voltage circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you complete the repair?	Go to Step 10	-
8	Repair the open in the power window master switch ground circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you complete the repair?	Go to Step 10	-
9	Replace the power window master switch. Refer to Power Accessory Switch Panel Replacement . Did you complete the repair?	Go to Step 10	-
10	Operate the system in order to verify the repair. Did you correct the condition?	System OK	Go to Step 3
