Draining & Refilling: Refilling

  1. Install the transfer case drain plug. See Figure. Tighten drain plug to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Fill the transfer case with the appropriate amount of approved fluid. See RECOMMENDED FLUIDS  and FLUID CAPACITIES  .
  3. Install the transfer case fill plug. See Figure. Tighten fill plug to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Install the transfer case shield. See TRANSFER CASE SHIELD .
  5. Lower vehicle.
