Installation Procedure

  1. Install the ground strap.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the ground strap bolt to the cowl.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the ground strap to cowl bolt to 17 N.m (12 lb ft).

  3. Raise the vehicle.

  4. Install the ground strap bolt to the engine.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the ground strap bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  5. Lower the vehicle.
