Removal & Installation

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery terminal. Wash all contaminants from Electro-Hydraulic Control Unit (EHCU). Disconnect harness connector from Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). Remove EHCU from frame rail.
  2. Remove mounting bracket from EHCU. Remove EBCM mounting screws from BPMV. DO NOT use a tool to pry EBCM from BPMV. Separate EBCM from BPMV.
    NOTE: DO NOT use RTV or other type of sealant on EBCM gasket or mating surfaces.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Calibrate new EBCM to vehicle tire size using a scan tool. Tighten NEW mounting screws in criss-cross pattern and to specified torque. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
