Test 4A - Cartridge Error

  1. Disconnect and reconnect scan tool from Data Link Connector (DLC). DO NOT touch keypad. If scan tool does not display CARTRIDGE ERROR, go to next step. If scan tool displays CARTRIDGE ERROR, replace scan tool cartridge. Perform TEST VER-1. Return to appropriate diagnostic article.
  2. If scan tool displays KEY PAD TEST FAILURE, replace scan tool. Perform TEST VER-1. If scan tool does not display KEY PAD TEST FAILURE, return to appropriate diagnostic article.
