Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Removal

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

Download the module information to the diagnostic tool using the Programmable Modules Installation routine. Refer to the appropriate Module Communications Network service information.
Remove the retainers and position aside the degas bottle.
Torque: 8 Nm

Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the retainers and the module.
Torque: 5 Nm

- Disconnect the PCM electrical connectors.
- Remove the mounting bolts and the PCM.
  Torque: 11 Nm
