DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition SOBDMC P0BD0:00 Generator Inverter Temperature Sensor 'A' Circuit Intermittent/Erratic: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets when generator inverter temperature sensor readings are changing at an excessive rate for too long. Possible Causes
- Inverter System Controller (ISC) Calibration
- Motor Electronics Coolant Fluid Level Low
- Inverter System Controller (ISC)
- Z1 CHECK FOR BECM (BATTERY ENERGY CONTROL MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the BECM self-test.
Are any coolant pump Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present in the BECM '
Yes DIAGNOSE any coolant pump Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). For HEV, REFER to: High Voltage Battery, Mounting and Cables - Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) in the appropriate High Voltage Battery, Mounting and Cables article. For PHEV, REFER to: DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) CHART . No GO to Z2 - Z2 CHECK THE INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ISC) CALIBRATION LEVEL
- Verify the Inverter System Controller (ISC) is at the latest calibration level.
Is the Inverter System Controller (ISC) at the latest calibration level?
Yes GO to Z3 No UPDATE the Inverter System Controller (ISC) to the latest calibration level. - Z3 CHECK THE ELECTRIC POWERTRAIN COOLANT LEVEL
- Verify the electric powertrain coolant level, ensure there are no air bubbles in the system. REFER to: ELECTRIC POWERTRAIN COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
Is the electric powertrain coolant level OK?
Yes GO to Z4 No REFILL the electric powertrain cooling system, REFER to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding . - Z4 CHECK FOR INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ISC) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Inverter System Controller (ISC) Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, run the Inverter System Controller (ISC) self-test.
Is DTC P0BD0 present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new Inverter System Controller (ISC). REFER to: Inverter System Controller [SOBDMC] . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
