REFER to: Electric Powertrain Control - System Operation and Component Description .

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
SOBDMC U045A:56 Invalid Data Received From Parking Assist Control Module 'A': Invalid/Incompatible Configuration This DTC sets when an HS-CAN message from the IPMA is outside normal limits.

    Possible Causes

    • Communications network concern

  2. AV1 UPDATE THE IPMA (IMAGE PROCESSING MODULE A) SOFTWARE

NOTE: The Inverter System Controller (ISC) is reporting that another module is offline. Inverter System Controller (ISC) replacement would NOT be recommended for any of these Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) as it will not fix the vehicle's issue. "Suspect Module" refers to the module that is offline, NOT the Inverter System Controller (ISC).

    • Update the IPMA software.

    • Ignition ON.

    • Clear the Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTC s.

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Wait 5 minutes.

    • Ignition ON.

    • Carry out the Inverter System Controller (ISC) self-test.

    Was DTC U045A:56 recieveed?

    Yes  GO to  AV2
No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due the software being erased.
  3. AV2 UPDATE THE INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ISC) SOFTWARE

    • Update the Inverter System Controller (ISC) software, regardless of whether the ISC responds to the network tool.

    • Ignition ON.

    • Clear the Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTC s.

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Check the IPMA for proper configuration.

    Is the IPMA configured correctly?

    Yes  GO to  AV4
    No  Correctly configure the IPMA.
  5. AV4 CHECK THE INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ISC) FOR PROPER CONFIGURATION

NOTE: This DTC often sets after flashing of the Inverter System Controller (ISC) (SOBDM-C) module in which cases the configuration would be suspect.

    • Check the Inverter System Controller (ISC) for proper configuration.

Is the Inverter System Controller (ISC) configured correctly?

    Yes  GO to  AV5
No  Correctly configure the Inverter System Controller (ISC).
  6. AV5 CHECK FOR PSCM (POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE) CALIBRATION LOSE

NOTE: After some module reflashes the PSCM loses some calibration information that it has to relearn.

    • Drive the vehicle above 30 km/h for 5 minutes.

    • Turn the steering wheel several times from lock to lock.

    • Ignition ON.

    • Clear the Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTC s.
