- NOTE: The Inverter System Controller (ISC) is referred to as the SOBDMC (Secondary On-Board Diagnostic Control Module C) in the scan tool.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition SOBDMC P0D2D:00 Drive Motor 'A' Inverter Voltage Sensor 'A' Circuit: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets when a HV harness issue or an internal issue is detected with the Inverter System Controller (ISC). Possible Causes
- Inverter System Controller (ISC) Calibration
- Inverter System Controller (ISC)
- AA1 CHECK FOR BECM (BATTERY ENERGY CONTROL MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the BECM self-test.
Are any BECM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present?
Yes For HEV, REFER to: High Voltage Battery, Mounting and Cables - Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) in the appropriate High Voltage Battery, Mounting and Cables article. For PHEV, REFER to: DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) CHART . No GO to AA2 - AA2 CHECK FOR INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ISC) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)NOTE: P0D2D commonly sets with and due to P0A0A:13. In such cases diagnose P0A0A:13 and ignore P0D2D.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, run the Inverter System Controller (ISC) self-test.
Are any DTC s other than P0D2D present?
Yes DIAGNOSE all other Inverter System Controller (ISC) DTC s, REFER to the DTC chart in This Service Information. No GO to AA3 - AA3 CHECK THE INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ISC) CALIBRATION LEVEL
- Verify the Inverter System Controller (ISC) is at the latest calibration level.
Is the Inverter System Controller (ISC) at the latest calibration level?
Yes GO to AA4 No UPDATE the Inverter System Controller (ISC) to the latest calibration level. - AA4 CHECK FOR INVERTER SYSTEM CONTROLLER (ISC) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Inverter System Controller (ISC) Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, run the Inverter System Controller (ISC) self-test.
Is DTC P0D2D present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new Inverter System Controller (ISC). REFER to: Inverter System Controller [SOBDMC] . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
