Activation
- Remove the liftgate latch access cover from the center of the liftgate trim panel.Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
- If equipped with a power liftgate, insert a flat-bladed screwdriver through the access cover opening and press the cinch release button.Use the General Equipment: Flat-Bladed Screwdriver

- Locate the liftgate latch cover opening.
- Insert a 3.5 mm wide flat-bladed screwdriver through the cover opening located on the LH side of the liftgate latch cover. Position the screwdriver towards the RH side of the cover opening to a depth of approximately 12 mm to engage the liftgate latch internal release lever.Use the General Equipment: Flat-Bladed Screwdriver

Engage the 3.5 mm wide flat-bladed screwdriver into the liftgate latch internal release lever, slide it to the left, release the latch and open the liftgate.Use the General Equipment: Flat-Bladed Screwdriver
