Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Removal

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

Download the module information to the diagnostic tool using the Programmable Modules Installation routine. Refer to: PROGRAMMABLE MODULE INSTALLATION (PMI) .
Remove the retainers and position aside the degas bottle.
Torque

: 71 lb. In (8 Nm)

Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the retainers and the module.
Torque

: 44 lb. In (5 Nm)

- Disconnect the PCM electrical connectors.
- Remove the mounting bolts and the PCM.
