Windshield Washer Fluid Level Sensor: Removal

  1. Siphon the windshield washer fluid out.

    1. Open the windshield washer fluid reservoir cap.
    2. Siphon the windshield washer fluid. Use the General Equipment: Fluid Suction Gun. Use the General Equipment: Fluid Container

  2. Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
  3. Remove the retainers and position the fender splash shield aside to access the windshield washer reservoir.

  4. NOTE: Be careful not to damage the windshield washer pump seal while removing and installing the fluid level sensor.
    NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    2. Remove the windshield washer fluid level sensor.
