Tailgate Latch Control Assembly: Removal

Remove the bolts and the tailgate access panel.
Torque: 17 lb.in (1.9 Nm)

If equipped. Disconnect the electrical connector from the tailgate actuator.

NOTE: Vehicles with tailgate latch actuator shown in illustration, others similar.

Remove the tailgate latch control assembly.
1. Release the tailgate latch actuating rod clips and position aside the tailgate latch rods.
2. Remove the bolts from the tailgate latch control assembly.
  Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
3. Remove the tailgate latch control assembly.
