Pinpoint Test Am: Brake Pressure Sensor Faults
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The ABS module monitors various inputs and compares the values to what should be expected. If the values received are out of range or not what should be expected, the ABS module sets a DTC.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Condition |
|---|---|---|
| ABS C0044:49 | Brake Pressure Sensor "A": Internal Electronic Failure | Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault with the EBB unit (electric boosted vehicles) or the HCU (vacuum boosted vehicles). |
| ABS C0044:51 | Brake Pressure Sensor "A": Not Programmed | When a new pressure sensor is calibrated, the information is stored in memory. If the calibration has not taken place or if the calibration files are lost or corrupt, this DTC sets. |
| ABS C0044:64 | Brake Pressure Sensor "A": Signal Plausibility Failure | Sets when the ABS module detects a fault with the brake fluid pressure. |
| ABS C0044:8F | Brake Pressure Sensor "A": Erratic | Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault with the EBB unit (electric boosted vehicles) or the HCU (vacuum boosted vehicles). |
| ABS C1A08:1C | Pressure Sensor Supply: Circuit Voltage Out Of Range | Sets when the ABS module detects the brake system pressure sensor voltage supply is out of range. |
Possible Sources
- Incorrect sensor input
- Air trapped in the hydraulic system
- EBB unit (electric boosted vehicles)
- ABS module and HCU assembly (vacuum boosted vehicles)
