Possible Causes

  1. E1: VERIFY THE IGNITION KEY IN USE IS NOT RESTRICTED 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Monitor the message center.

    Does the message center display MYKEY ACTIVE DRIVE SAFELY? 

    Yes No
    The current ignition key is a restricted key and is operating correctly. REPEAT the test step using a different ignition key until the message center does not display MYKEY ACTIVE DRIVE SAFELY.
    Go to  E2.
    Go to  E2.
  2. E2: VERIFY THE MYKEY® TRACTION CONTROL SETTING 
    • Using the message center, verify the MyKey traction control setting.
    • Refer to the Owner's Literature for instructions on setting the MyKey functions.

    Is the MyKey traction control setting configured to always on? 

    Yes No
    Go to  E3. Go to  E4.
  3. E3: VERIFY TRACTION CONTROL FUNCTION CAN BE DISABLED USING THE ADMIN KEY 
    • Using the message center, verify traction control can be enabled and disabled using the admin ignition.
    • Refer to the Owner's Literature for instructions on enabling and disabling traction control.

    Can traction control be enabled and disabled using the admin ignition key? 

    Yes No
    The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by the use of a restricted key. INFORM the customer the traction control can only be disabled using an admin key when the MyKey® traction control setting is configured to always on. Go to  E4.
  4. E4: CHECK FOR ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM) MODULE DTCS (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE)s 
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Ignition ON.
    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the ABS  module self-test.

    Are any DTCs present? 

    Yes No
    REFER to the appropriate ABS Module DTC Chart. Go to  E5.
  5. E5: CHECK FOR GWM (GATEWAY MODULE A) DTCS (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE) 
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Ignition ON.
    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the GWM  self-test.

    Are any DTCs present? 

    Yes No
    DIAGNOSE any GWM DTC  s. REFER to CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK . Go to  E6
  6. E6: CHECK FOR BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) DTCS (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE) 
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Ignition ON.
    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the BCM  module self-test.

    Are any DTCs present? 

    Yes No
    DIAGNOSE any BCM DTCs. REFER to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) . Go to  E7.
  7. E7: CHECK FOR IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) DTCS (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE) 
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Ignition ON.
    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the IPC module self-test.

    Are any DTCs present? 

    Yes No
    DIAGNOSE any IPC DTCs. REFER to Instrumentation, Message Center and Warning Chimes . The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
