DTC P249C - SCR Time To Closed Loop

P249C - SCR TIME TO CLOSED LOOP

Description:  This DTC sets when the amount of time to enter closed loop control of the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system is greater than a calibrated threshold.
Possible Causes: 
  • Damaged exhaust gas temperature bank 1, sensor 2 (EGT12) sensor
  • Damaged exhaust gas temperature bank 1, sensor 3 (EGT13) sensor
  • Damaged exhaust gas temperature bank 1, sensor 4 (EGT14) sensor
  • Damaged SCR system components
  • Biased nitrogen oxides bank 1, sensor 2 (NOx12) sensor
Diagnostic Aids: 
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST RC .
