DTC P2533 (PCM) - Ignition Switch Run/Start Position Circuit

DTC DESCRIPTION P2533 (PCM) - IGNITION SWITCH RUN/START POSITION CIRCUIT

Description:  The PCM carries out a logic check on the ISP-R circuit. The PCM sets this DTC when a concern is present.
Possible Causes: 
  • ISP-R circuit open
  • ISP-R circuit short to ground
  • PCMRC circuit open
  • PCMRC circuit short to voltage
  • Ignition circuit fuse
  • Damaged ignition switch
  • Damaged PCM
Diagnostic Aids:  The KEYST parameter identifier (PID) should display RUN when the ignition is in the ON position.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
