DTC P0A39 - Generator Temperature Sensor Circuit High

DTC DESCRIPTION P0A39 - GENERATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH

Description:  This DTC sets when the TCM detects the GCT circuit is above or below a calibrated threshold.
Possible Causes: 
  • GCT circuit open
  • GCT circuit short to ground
  • GCT circuit short to voltage
  • Damaged TCM
  • Damaged transmission
Diagnostic Aids: 
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST TL .
