Ignition Coil-On-Plug: Installation

  1. Inspect the ignition coil-on-plug assembly for cracks, rips, or tears. Replace any damaged coil-on-plug assemblies.

    1. Install the ignition coil-on-plugs.
    2. Install the ignition coil-on-plug mounting bolts.

      Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

  3. NOTE: If equipped with a sliding cover over the locking tab, then slide the cover back to gain access to the tab.

    1. Connect the ignition coil-on-plug the electrical connectors and press the locking tab.
    2. Connect the wiring harness retainers.

  4. Install the engine appearance cover, then install and tighten the engine appearance cover retaining nuts and bolts.

    Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

  5. Connect the battery. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
