Network Message Chart

BCM Network Input Messages 

Broadcast Message Originating Module Message Purpose
Headlamp switch status SCCM Indicates the headlamp switch position (or fault) to the BCM. When the position is indicated as autolamps on, the BCM monitors the ambient light to determined if the exterior lamps need to be on or off.
Steering wheel switch smart wiper motor status SCCM Indicates the wipers on or off to the BCM. When the wipers are indicated as on for more than 3 seconds and the autolamp feature is active, the BCM turns the parking lamps and headlamps on.
