Windshield Wiper Pivot Arm: Installation

1. Set ignition switch to the II position (Ignition ON).
2. Cycle the wipers "ON" for one complete cycle and then turn the wipers "OFF".

NOTE: Make sure the wiper motor is in the PARK position.

NOTE: LH windshield wiper pivot arm is always positioned above the RH windshield wiper pivot arm.
1. Align windshield wiper blades inside the marks on the windshield.
2. Install the wiper pivot arm washer and nut.
  Torque
  
  : 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

NOTE: This step is only necessary If the windshield wiper arm(s) alignment marks are not available.

NOTE: Make sure the wiper motor is in the PARK position.
- Align LH wiper pivot arm to measurement.

- Align RH wiper pivot arm to measurement.
  Dimension
  
  : 1.9685in (50mm)

Install the wiper pivot arm nut cover.

Carry out a low speed windshield wipe on a wet windshield and make sure the wiper motor and arms park in the correct position.
Carry out a high speed windshield wipe on a wet windshield and make sure the wiper blades do not contact the A-pillar.
Set ignition to the 0 position (Ignition "OFF").
