Passenger Door Module (PDM): Removal

  1. NOTE: If available as a selection on the diagnostic scan tool, this step is required.
    NOTE: If installing a new PDM, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the PDM. This information must be downloaded into the new PDM after installation.

    If installing a new PDM, upload the module configuration information from the PDM into the scan tool by following the scan tool on screen instructions.

  2. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to: Front Door Trim Panel .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  4. Remove the retainers and PDM.
