Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The ABS module monitors various inputs and compares the values to what should be expected. If the values received are out of range or not what should be expected, the ABS module sets a DTC. 

PPT AP ABS MODULE DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
C0072:68 Brake Temperature Too High: Event Information Sets when the ABS module a hard reset (battery disconnected or ignition ON with ABS module disconnected), HS-CAN or CCM concerns. The ABS module disables adaptive cruise control until the temperature is returned to normal. The DTC does not illuminate any warning indicators but the message center displays ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL NOT AVAILABLE.
