Selector Lever Cable Adjustment: Adjustment

  1. Detach the selector lever cable from the selector lever.

  2. Position the selector lever in drive (D).

    1. Spread open the ears of the lock tab.
    2. Pull out the lock tab.

    1. Rotate the selector lever 3 clicks clockwise.
    2. Inspect to verify the selector lever lines up with the "D" indicator on the on the transmission case.

  3. Attach the selector lever cable to the selector lever.

  4. Push the lock tab in to the locked position.

  5. Perform the TR  sensor adaptive learning.

  6. Verify the engine starts only in park (P) and neutral (N) and the reverse lamps illuminate only in reverse (R).
