Removal and Installation

  1. NOTE: If installing a new Audio Front Control Module (ACM), it is necessary to upload the ACM configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the ACM. This information must be downloaded into the new ACM after installation.

    Upload the ACM configuration information to the scan tool by following the scan tool on screen instructions.

  2. Remove the center middle instrument panel finish panel. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
  3. Remove the 4 bolts and the FDIM.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
    • To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).

  4. Remove the 2 bolts and the ACM.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
    • To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).

  5. Disconnect the antenna cable(s).
    1. Release locking tab.
    2. Remove connector(s).

  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Download the ACM configuration information from the scan tool to the new ACM following the scan tool on screen instructions.
