General Procedure

NOTE: Refer to General Specifications in the appropriate engine service information for the specification.
NOTE: Camshaft journals must be within specifications before checking runout.
  1. Using the Dial Indicator Gauge with Holding Fixture, measure the camshaft runout.
    • Rotate the camshaft and subtract the lowest Dial Indicator Gauge reading from the highest Dial Indicator Gauge reading.
