Repair procedures: Replacement

CAUTION:
  • When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
NOTE:
  • Take care not to scratch the body surface.
  1. Remove the front seat assembly.

    (Refer to "FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY ")

  2. Remove the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")

  3. Remove the front pillar trim.

    (Refer to "FRONT PILLAR TRIM ")

  4. Remove the cowl side trim.

    (Refer to "COWL SIDE TRIM ")

  5. Remove the crash pad lower panel.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD LOWER PANEL ")

  6. Remove the steering column shroud panel.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "STEERING COLUMN SHROUD PANEL ")

  7. Remove the glove box housing.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "GLOVE BOX HOUSING ")

  8. Remove the instrument cluster.

    (Refer to "INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ")

  9. Remove the audio unit.

    (Refer to "AUDIO UNIT ")

  10. Remove the knee airbag (KAB) Module.

    (Refer to "KNEE AIRBAG (KAB) MODULE ")

  11. Disconnect the steering column connectors.

    (Refer to "STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT ")

  12. Down the steering column after loosening the mounting bolts.

    (Refer to "STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT ")

  13. After loosening the mounting screw, then remove the crash pad lower switch (A).

  14. Disconnect the crash pad lower switch connector (A).

  15. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the crash pad driver's panel [RH] (A).

  16. Disconnect the start/stop button connector (A).

  17. After loosening the mounting screws, then remove the crash pad center lower panel (A).

  18. Disconnect the connectors (A).

  19. Disconnect the cubis connector (A).

  20. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the photo sensor (A).
  21. Disconnect the photo sensor connector (B).

  22. Disconnect the passenger's airbag connectors (A).
  23. Loosen the mounting bolts.

  24. After loosening the mounting bolts and nuts, then remove the main crash pad assembly (A).

  25. Install in the reverse order of removal.

    Information 

    • Make sure the crash pad fits onto the guide pins correctly.
    • Before tightening the bolts, make sure the crash pad wire harnesses are not pinched.
    • Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly, and the antenna lead is connected properly.
    • Enter the anti-theft code for the radio, then enter the customer's radio station presets.
