Removal and Installation

NOTE: 3.7L shown in illustration, 5.0L (4V) and 5.8L (4V) similar.

3.7L vehicles 

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the lower radiator splash shield.

    All vehicles 

  3. NOTE: For 5.0L (4V) and 5.8L (4V) vehicles, the ambient temperature sensor can be accessed through the airflow opening in the front bumper cover.

    Detach the ambient temperature sensor electrical connector pin-type retainer.

  4. Disconnect the ambient temperature sensor electrical connector and remove the ambient temperature sensor.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
