The red brake warning indicator is always/never on	Low brake fluid level Brake fluid level sensor Parking brake applied Parking brake switch IPC concern ABS or stability control system concern	RETRIEVE all ABS module DTCs and REFER to the ABS DTC CHART . If no ABS module DTCs are present, REFER to Diagnosis and Testing in INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
The yellow ABS warning indicator is always/never on	IPC concern ABS or stability control system concern	RETRIEVE all ABS module and SASM DTCs. REFER to the ABS DTC CHART or the SASM DTC CHART . If no ABS module or SASM DTCs are present, REFER to Diagnosis and Testing in INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
The stability/traction control indicator (sliding car icon) is always/never on	IPC concern ABS or stability control system concern	RETRIEVE all ABS module and SASM DTCs. REFER to the ABS DTC CHART or the SASM DTC CHART . If no ABS module or SASM DTCs are present, REFER to Diagnosis and Testing in INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
The stability/traction control disabled indicator (sliding car OFF icon) is always/never on	IPC concern ABS or stability control system concern	RETRIEVE all ABS module and SASM DTCs. REFER to the ABS DTC CHART or the SASM DTC CHART . If no ABS module or SASM DTCs are present, REFER to Diagnosis and Testing in INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
ABS false activation, ABS too sensitive, ABS activates on normal stop	Front or rear suspension concern	ELIMINATE the front or rear suspension as the cause of the problem. REFER to SUSPENSION SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
	RCM mounting	CONFIRM the RCM is mounted correctly. REFER to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
	Loose wheel speed sensor or excessive air gap	INSPECT wheel speed sensor for looseness or excessive air gap. TIGHTEN or INSTALL new as necessary. REFER to WHEEL SPEED SENSOR - FRONT or WHEEL SPEED SENSOR - REAR .
	Wheel speed sensor encoder damaged, rusted or contaminated with foreign material	INSPECT the encoder for damage, rust and foreign material. CLEAN, REMOVE foreign material or INSTALL new as necessary. REFER to Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub in FRONT SUSPENSION or REAR SUSPENSION .
	Parking brake shoes out of adjustment (dragging)	CHECK and if necessary, ADJUST the parking brake shoes. REFER to PARKING BRAKE AND ACTUATION .
The stability/traction control system is inoperative or cannot be disabled	Refer to the DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE	GO to PINPOINT TEST E .
