P06E5 - Glow Plug Control Module 1 Performance

P06E5 - GLOW PLUG CONTROL MODULE 1 PERFORMANCE

Description:  This DTC is set by the GPCM to indicate an internal software error has occurred.
Possible Causes: 
  • An attempt was made to change the calibration
  • Aftermarket performance products
  • Module programming error
  • Internal GPCM error
Diagnostic Aids:  Disconnect all GPCM connectors and inspect for damage such as pushed out pins or corrosion and repair as necessary. Connect all GPCM connectors.
Clear the DTCs. Carry out the KOER Glow Plug Monitor self-test. If the DTC is retrieved again, turn the ignition OFF and wait for 2 minutes.
Reprogram the GPCM or update the GPCM calibration.
Clear the DTCs. Carry out the KOER Glow Plug Monitor self-test. If the DTC is retrieved again, install a new GPCM.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory
