P060A - Internal Control Module Monitoring Processor Performance

P060A - INTERNAL CONTROL MODULE MONITORING PROCESSOR PERFORMANCE

Description:  Indicates an error occurred in the powertrain control module (PCM).
Possible Causes: 
  • Aftermarket performance products
  • PCM programming error
  • Software incompatibility issue
  • PCM internal software error
Diagnostic Aids:  The presence of this DTC may indicate that the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power.
Reprogram or update the calibration. Check for other DTCs or drive symptoms for further action. Make sure to check for aftermarket performance products before installing a new PCM. If it is necessary to install a new PCM, refer to FLASH ELECTRICALLY ERASABLE PROGRAMMABLE READ ONLY MEMORY (EEPROM) .
