When the ignition is turned to the RUN position, the ABS module and the PCM share Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) information over the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN) bus.
- DTC B2900 (VIN Mismatched) - If the VIN information stored in the ABS module does not match the information transmitted by the PCM, DTC B2900 sets.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Module configuration (ABS and PCM)
- ABS module
