Fuel Injection Control Pressure (ICP) Sensor: Installation

All vehicles 

    NOTE: Use a crowfoot wrench to aid on installing the ICP  sensor.
  1. Install the ICP  sensor.
    • Verify the sensor O-ring seal is in place.
    • Calculate the correct torque wrench setting for the following torque.

    • Using a torque adapter, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

  2. Connect the ICP  sensor electrical connector.

  3. Install the CAC  tube and the oil fill tube.

  4. Tighten the clamp for the CAC  tube.
    • Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

  5. Connect the oil fill tube at the valve cover.

  6. Install the engine cover. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION article.
  7. Install the bracket and the 2 retaining nuts.

    Vehicle with dual generators 

  8. Connect the pushpin retainer to the bracket.

    All vehicles 

  9. Install the 3 bolts for the CAC  tube and oil fill tube.

  10. Tighten the clamp for the CAC  tube.
    • Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

  11. Install the 3 bolts and disconnect the pushpin retainer.

  12. Position the MAP  sensor and the ground wire and install the 2 bolts.
    • Tighten the MAP  sensor bolt to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
    • Tighten the ground wire bolt to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

  13. Install the 4 power steering reservoir bracket bolts.

  14. Install the upper air deflector and the 6 pushpin retainers.

    Vehicles with dual generators 

  15. Connect the negative battery cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
