In-Dash Computer
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Ford Econoline. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The in-dash computer is capable of the following functions:
- AM/FM radio reception
- CD (audio or MP3) playback
- Bluetooth connectivity for both media devices and mobile phones
- Peripheral device (keyboard, mouse, printer) connectivity through the built-in Universal Serial Bus (USB) device or Bluetooth
- Navigation
- Voice recognition for hands-free functioning
- Tool Link™ interaction (if equipped)
A modem-antenna is utilized to receive the Global Positioning System (GPS) signal for the navigation feature and for wireless connectivity. The microphone for the voice recognition feature is integral to the in-dash computer.
When using Bluetooth, not all features are available with every phone. Additionally, not all Bluetooth devices are compatible with the Ford Work Solutions™ system.
