Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Removal

  1. Retrieve the module configuration. Carry out the module configuration retrieval steps of the Programmable Module Installation procedure. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION article.
  2. Remove the nut and the wiring harness retainer from the powertrain control module (PCM) stud bolt.
  3. Remove the nut and the ground strap from the PCM stud bolt.
  4. Disconnect the 3 PCM electrical connectors.
  5. Remove the 2 stud bolts and the PCM.
