Front Disc Brake Shield: Removal

  1. Remove the brake disc (1125) For additional information, refer to BRAKE DISC  .
    2. CAUTION: Use extreme care not to damage the wheel knuckle when drilling out the brake disc shield rivets.
  2. Remove the brake disc shield.
    1. Using a center punch, knock the mandrels out of the rivets. Using a 5.5 mm (0.22 inch) drill bit, drill out the rivets. If a larger drill bit is needed, it must not be larger than 6 mm (0.24 inch).
    2. Remove the dust shield (2K004).
