Gearshift Lever: Installation

  1. Position the gearshift lever.
  2. Connect the select cable.

  3. Connect the gearshift cable.

    CAUTION: Make sure the clips are set completely within the cable adapter groove and fully seated.
  4. Install the 2 gearshift cable clips.

  5. Install the 4 gearshift lever bolts.
    • Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  6. Adjust the gearshift cables. For additional information, refer to MANUAL TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION AND CLUTCH - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
  7. Install the floor console. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE article.
