Disassembly and Assembly

Remove the third row seat. For additional information, refer to SEAT - THIRD ROW in this article.
Remove the third row backrest. For additional information, refer to SEAT BACKREST - THIRD ROW in this article.
Slide the LH head restraint sleeve button and remove the head restraint.
Release the backrest J-clip.
Remove the 2 screws and remove the backrest pull-strap handle assembly.

Remove the hardboard panel from under the backrest trim cover.

CAUTION: Use care when separating the seat upholstery from the hook and loop strip or the hook and loop strip can be torn from the seat backrest foam pad.

Separate the hook and loop fasteners.
Remove and discard all the hog rings (3 shown) and roll the seat backrest trim cover up.

NOTE: The inboard and outboard head restraint sleeves are not interchangeable.

Squeeze together the tip of the head restraint sleeves and pull the 6 sleeves out of the frame tube.
Remove the backrest trim cover.
Remove the backrest foam pad from the backrest frame.
To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
