Normal Operation
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Lincoln Aviator. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Under normal operation, when the PCM senses battery voltage on circuit 511 (LG), the PCM deactivates the speed control actuator. Additionally, when the brake pedal is pressed and the speed control deactivator switch opens, battery voltage is removed from circuit 307 (BK/YE) to the speed control actuator or the PCM, releasing the throttle independently of the speed control actuator.
