Inspection and Verification

- Verify the customer concern by operating the speed control system.
- Verify the speedometer operates correctly by driving the vehicle. If the speedometer does not operate correctly, refer to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER .
- Verify the stoplamps operate correctly by depressing the brake pedal. If the stoplamps do not operate correctly, refer to EXTERIOR LIGHTING .
- Verify the horns operate correctly by depressing the horn switch. If the horns do not operate correctly, refer to HORN .
- Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.
- If the fault is not visually evident, go to the SELF-TEST DIAGNOSTICS .
