The display is blank - radio and compact disc (CD) operate	Audio unit.	REMOVE the audio unit. SEND audio unit to an authorized audio system repair facility.
Poor reception	Antenna. Antenna cable. Audio unit.	Go To PINPOINT TEST B: POOR RECEPTION .
Poor reception-FM only	Antenna. Antenna cable. Audio unit.	Go To PINPOINT TEST C: POOR RECEPTION - FM ONLY .
Continuous SEEK/SCAN in AM/FM	Antenna. Antenna connections. Audio unit.	Go To PINPOINT TEST D: CONTINUOUS SEEK/SCAN IN AM/FM .
Distorted sound from one or more speakers (not all speakers)	Speaker(s). Circuit. Audio unit.	Go To PINPOINT TEST E: DISTORTED SOUND FROM ONE OR MORE SPEAKERS (NOT ALL SPEAKERS) .
No sound from all of the speakers	Speaker(s). Circuit. Audio unit.	Go To PINPOINT TEST F: NO SOUND FROM ALL OF THE SPEAKERS .

The compact disc (CD) player does not operate correctly	Audio unit.	REMOVE the audio unit and SEND it to an authorized audio system repair facility.
The subwoofer is inoperative	Battery junction box (BJB) fuse 24 (30A) subwoofer Subwoofer. Subwoofer amplifier(s). Circuit. Audio unit.	Go To PINPOINT TEST H: THE SUBWOOFER IS INOPERATIVE .
Loud pops when cycling the ignition switch	Circuit. Subwoofer. Subwoofer amplifier(s).	Go To PINPOINT TEST I: LOUD POPS WHEN CYCLING THE IGNITION SWITCH .
One or more audio unit control buttons (such as volume, seek, tune and scan) is not functional in either radio mode, CD mode, or all modes - audio unit display	Audio unit.	REMOVE the audio unit and SEND it to an authorized audio unit system repair facility. TEST the system for normal operation.
The auxiliary audio control is inoperative/does not operate correctly	Audio unit. Circuit. Steering wheel control switches.	Go To PINPOINT TEST J: THE AUXILIARY AUDIO CONTROL IS INOPERATIVE/DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS .
