Retrieving & Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect NGS tester to DLC. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Following NGS tester manufacturer's instructions, retrieve Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) for desired module. If no DTCs exist, repair by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX  table under SYSTEM TESTS. If any DTCs exist, see appropriate DTC index table for listing of DTCs and appropriate test procedures. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS . To clear DTCs, follow NGS tester manufacturer's instructions.
