Test F: Speed Control Does Not Disengage When Clutch Is Applied
NOTE:
See WIRING DIAGRAMS
for circuit repairs. After each service or repair procedure has been completed, reconnect all components.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch 6-pin harness connector C209 or jumper (located on clutch pedal arm). Measure resistance between CPP switch terminals No. 3 and 4 (component side). See Figure . Depress clutch pedal. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, replace CPP switch. Recheck system operation.
- Disconnect speed control servo/actuator 10-pin harness connector C171 (located at right rear of engine compartment). Measure resistance between ground and speed control servo/actuator harness connector C171 terminal No. 4 (Tan/Light Blue wire). See Figure . If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, replace speed control servo/actuator. Recheck system operation. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in Tan/Light Blue wire between speed control servo/actuator and CPP switch. Recheck system operation.
